Lyrics You've Sent To Us!

The other end of a lie
--sent in by pslbluesfan1

(HOOK)
I’m on the other end of a lie
saw danger signs all around
we came to a crossroads
with no where to go

(VERSE)
I started down a road
took some twists and turns
I started down some roads
took some twists and turns
never had the notion
i would crash and burn

(VERSE)
Other end of a lie
this couldn’t be worked out
all i feel is heartache
all i feel is heartache
lies we told each other
was all we were about

(CHORUS)
I always woke alone
I always stayed up late
I always left the light on
And prayed he’d take the bait

(VERSE)
Saw anguish in your heart
saw confusion in your eyes
The crossroads clearly marked
where the truth must end
I may have lost a lover
Pray I kept a friend

(CHORUS)
I always woke alone
I always stayed up late
I always left the light on
And prayed he’d take the bait

A Million Memories
--sent in by Wendy O.& Chelsea O.

Verse 1:
There's a smile in every lifetime
Even if later you get a tear
But you face that fear
And I finally make you mine in my life

Chorus:
I was blessed
you were a gift to me
I'll keep all those smiles and tears with me
And they will always be those million memories

Verse 2:
It seems so long ago that i saw you for the very first time
In my heart you are always here with me anytime, day or night
i never thought it would be true-- but i really stood right next to you..

Chorus:
I was blessed
you were a gift to me
I'll keep all those smiles and tears with me
and they will always be those million memories

Bridge:
never had as much fun with you
no matter who else i was with
Never had the greatest times--until you let me live

Chorus (2x)

gospel train
© 2003 d.whitney quinn

chorus:
the gospel train's a-coming
can you hear that whistle sound
better get your house in order
before it leaves your town
its destination freedom
for those who understand
across the river jordan
into the promised land

my mother was a young girl
when she had a daughter boy
she could not make her mind up
of what part she must destroy
and so she called it whitney
in hopes that by its name
would cause the infant beast
to finally hang its neck in shame

[chorus]

father cannot talk to you
he's busy telling lies
to the voices in his head
and they are not surprised
they've heard the same old stories
that he believes are true
and that's why father has no time
to make up lies to you

[chorus]

mother's milk has dried up
here comes the hunger pain
she cannot hear your anger
but she has some Novocain
the pleasure of forgetfulness
runs like a river deep
like a dream that's half-remembered
through a night of fitful sleep...

[chorus]

i won't be returning home
though payday is tomorrow
i can barely function
when I'm overcome by sorrow
even joy can have its drawbacks
when it sneaks up from behind
like an uninvited servant
speaking his unwanted mind...

[chorus]

i can sing the blues for you
if you've got half an ear
i can sing the blues all night
till venus disappears
my trials and tribulations
the likes of which you've never heard
and i can sing a thousand nights
and not repeat a word

[chorus]

i woke up at midnight
with fluid in my lungs
i cried out to Jesus
said lord what have you done
deliver me my savior
or take me from this pain
and...that's when in the distance
i began to hear...a train...

[chorus]
