[picture of Latterell] Catherine Latterell is Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Composition at Texas Technological University. She earned her doctorate in rhetoric and technical communication from the Department of Humanities at Michigan Technological University in 1996. Her research interests combine composition theory, cultural theory, and critical pedagogy to explore issues in writing program administration-particularly re-theorizing TA education and examining composition curriculum as a site of disciplinary knowledge production.

[picture of Severino] Carol Severino is an Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Director of the Writing Lab at the University of Iowa, where she also teaches courses on writing and culture. She has written for the Journal of Basic Writing, the Writing Center Journal, Urban Education, College English, and the Journal of Second Language Writing.

With Juan Guerra and Johnnella Butler, she co-edited Writing in Multicultural Settings (MLA, 1997). She has twin 16-year-old boys who are new drivers and plays the drums for the band "Second Draft," appearing at CCCC's at the Two-Year College Party, Thursday night, April 2, from 8PM until 10:30PM.
